Julia A. Cain is a graduate of the
Ohio
State College of Law and has been in practice for over 30 years. Her
practice focuses on adoption law, estate planning and probate
administration. She also handles rental property and real estate
transactions including For Sale By Owner transactions.
Julia’s practice area spans birth to
death issues, as she handles adoption matters and she also works
with families in estate planning and probate administration. Estate
planning begins with a consulting session where Julia talks with
families about their end of life decisions, health care matters and
property distribution after death. Julia believes her role as a
counselor at law is to educate her clients about the law and make
sure they understand all aspects of their decision making. Because
Julia has spent years working with families in probate
administration (handling matters in Probate Court after someone has
died) she has insight into estate planning practices that minimize
Court involvement and lessen the stress of the probate process.
Julia’s passion is her work with adoptive
matters. She has assisted in completing hundreds of adoptions
including private, agency and international. She represents birth
parents, adoptive parents and agencies. She believes birthparents
should be respected and shown compassion. She is a strong advocate
for integrity within the adoptive process. She also has compassion
for the adopting family and works to make sure everyone fully
understands the adoption proceedings. She brings her joy and respect
for life into every proceeding
Julia’s practice is located in a small
town in Northeast Ohio but in her adoption practice she works with
agencies, social workers and families throughout Ohio and other
states. Her estate planning and probate administration is limited to
Medina, Summit and Wayne Counties. She has a strong network of
attorneys that she interacts with through her membership in the
following organizations:
Julia has published material and has
taught courses on Adoption Law. She is also listed in the book
Adopting in America: How to Adopt Within One Year
by Randall B. Hicks which has been described as a
nuts-and-bolts to adoption as well as the ultimate how-to
adoption book.
